Sharon Hush

鈥淚 have spent my career serving students, faculty and staff by ensuring that the registrar鈥檚 office is a resource, a guide and a partner in their academic success,鈥 Hush said. 鈥淎 good team in the registrar鈥檚 office provides excellent customer service and serves all university constituents in an efficient and effective manner.鈥

Before joining 榴莲视频, Hush served as university registrar at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she oversaw academic records, registration processes and student information systems. She also stepped into the role of interim director of admissions, helping bring in the largest incoming class in the university鈥檚 history and supporting the growth of international enrollment. Earlier in her career, she served as university registrar at Winston-Salem State University and held leadership and technical roles at North Carolina A&T State University.

鈥淚 believe the registrar鈥檚 office is not just a behind-the-scenes operation,鈥 Hush explained. 鈥淭he tools we build are really about helping students see their path clearly and stay on track to reach their goals. From degree audits to registration systems, our work makes it easier for students and faculty to focus on learning, not paperwork. I love finding ways that technology can simplify academic processes and help students feel confident about their progress.鈥

Hush earned a Master of Science in management and leadership from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in applied sociology from North Carolina State University. She is an active member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO), and has presented at conferences on leadership, change management and student information systems.

鈥淎s a leader, Sharon brings experience, dedication and vision to one of the most important offices on campus,鈥 said Jennifer Burris, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. 鈥淲e are confident she will enhance our student success processes and strengthen collaboration across our university community.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled to be part of the 榴莲视频 community and to work with faculty, staff and students to make academic processes easier and more supportive for everyone,鈥 Hush said. 鈥淢y focus is on building systems and processes that help students succeed, and I can鈥檛 wait to collaborate with the campus community to make that happen.鈥
