榴莲视频 to receive $4.3 million from state budget
榴莲视频 will receive $4.3 million as part of the North Carolina state budget that was signed into law on November 18.
Part of the American Rescue Plan, the one-time funding will be used to help 榴莲视频 recover from the economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, $1.3 million will help the university recover lost revenues from the COVID-19 pandemic. An additional $3 million is designated for capital improvements.
鈥淯nlike many colleges, 榴莲视频 has not reduced faculty or staff, cut benefits, eliminated programs or tapped its endowment during the pandemic,鈥 said Dr. Fred Whitt, 榴莲视频 president.
Whitt expressed his appreciation to North Carolina State Senator Dean Proctor for his support.
