Making College Affordable

Value. It’s a small word, but it can mean big things. We would argue that the value of a ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ education far exceeds its price tag. We also recognize that a college education is often one of the most significant investments a family makes. In our view, affordability should not be a barrier to enrollment.

Every student deserves access to an affordable education. We have the resources to make it happen.

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Tuition-Free Guarantee

At ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ, we believe cost should never stand in the way of opportunity. Beginning in fall 2026, the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Tuition-Free Guarantee ensures that eligible new first-year and transfer students from North and South Carolina can pursue their education without the burden of tuition debt. Families with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $100,000 or less, according to the FAFSA, automatically qualify, making a nationally recognized ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ education more accessible than ever.

This transformational program covers 100 percent of undergraduate tuition through a combination of federal, state and institutional grants and scholarships—no loans required. The guarantee is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) of full-time study, providing predictable costs and peace of mind for students and families.

Combined with ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ’s strong tradition of academic excellence, personalized support and commitment to student success, the guarantee reflects our investment in future leaders who will serve and shape our communities.

Cost of Attendance

It’s the big question on every prospective college student’s mind: how much is tuition and room and board?

The cost of attendance is determined based on what financial aid you receive (scholarships, grants, loans, etc.) and your expected family contribution.
